Vanity

How could you understand? So vain, And yet your vanity is for nothing. You can’t see the good, You don’t see the love. So you will never know the freedom, Or the acceptance, Of the one’s that love you. No one can love what does not want to be loved, So you are alone. In that stagnant world you created, Even though to you it is still perfect. So alone you will stay, Your own fault, And I don’t care. I’m done waiting for what will never be. So I step away slowly, Watching you in your isolation. Then I laugh, One day you will see, One day you will realize. But then it will be too late, Because I will no longer be waiting, To catch the pieces as they fall.
